Single Moms: Have Already Earned Respect!!!

It has come to my attention that there is something I would like to voice my views upon. And that subject is single-moms.  Well from my perspective I believe that all women (And all humans in general) deserve respect. Well I hear people say, “You have to earn respect.”  Well I know that many people may not have respect for a young (teenage) mother.  But I need to make something perfectly clear, if you are a hard working sacrificing momma you have already earned and deserve respect.  And don’t let anyone treat you or tell you otherwise..

You know I still get dirty looks and poor comments from people.  I am a young looking twenty-three year old.  But if people would take the time to know me they would realize that I happen to look eighteen years of age because I take good care of myself. 

I don’t drink or smoke cigarettes.  I exercise and eat healthy.  And if they really new me it would be confirmed that I never planned out my life.  I had fallen in love with the wrong man.  I practiced unsafe sex and got pregnant.  I never married the guy and we stayed together for about four years.  Then when the physical abuse started to follow up on the emotional abuse I decided it was better to be alone with my baby, then to continue on in that situation. To get away from that man I went on emergency food stamps and accepted government welfare.  And in my desperate need to gather enough money to get a modest apartment and a used Chevy Blazer, I turned to stripping.  Exotic dancing put sorely needed (under the table) money in my pocket fast.  I danced a total of seven times.. When you sent the kids to classes
and never felt you had to follow
cuz the FBI curb tailed their asses
from an unmarked Chevy Impala

I'd say you had the best and worst
of the  made-men, bad guy world.
if it left you with a red wine thirst
and hair that's permanently curled!!
